I greatly appreciate efforts of Dr sahab. He is a true hero of Pakistan who has done great service for paving way to strong foundation of education in Pakistan. Thanks to his service, I see how universities are drifting their focus on quality research activities and authors of papers going to international conference and gaining experiences and others pursuing their phds. There are still many loopholes still in education system but one person can not do all. There is always room for improvement. He is doing the best he can and it is our duty to support his work and continue and spread education in different directions rather than just sitting idle and criticizing those who work for Pakistan.
Hats off to him.
My comments are not to criticize the HEC or any individual. I just want to know whether we are spending money without thinking or do they (HEC and government) have a vision in mind for future of their own scholars…!!!
We are not a rich nation rather the present circumstances are most challenging times in our history.
There is no fun in writing comments if the program coordinator or concerned staff of ‘Ankahi’ could not bring answers to the teething questions of their viewers. So please get the unanswered questions from the responsible people. I think thats the main role of todays ‘Media’.

I am Atif and I am graduate from the “International Islamic University”.
My question is about the undergraduate degree, which is now a full 4 years study plan, But if we go few years back its about 2 – 3 year study plan. And those students when ever go for some admission in MS program the University Admission department simply reject their application because of the credit hours. They just give an excuse that your crdit hours are not complete…
1. Why not they are given a chance to complete these credit hours by offering any pre-requisite courses
before MS program ..???????
And what should i say about university, admissions are offered in relationship basic/[perchi system is still there]. I have seen admission given to people who don’t even appear in the entry test neither in interview, and just because of the past relationship with dean they are in, not just that such people are also giving lectures.
How can you ensure the best output in such cases?????

And if we say about HEC, these people out there are trained to transfer call from one to anther.
You can never get information from there by calling some one, these people are really un-mannered.
I am asking ankahi to provide me the answers of these issues from HEC [Dr.Atta], because may be they will answer to media ..

THIS HEC HAVE DONE NOTHING AT ALL, WHEN YOU COME OUT FROM THE UNIVERSITIES AFTER GRADUATING, THERE IS NO SECURITY THAT YOUR DEGREE WILL HAVE WORTH IN THE MARKET OR NOT AND YOU WILL GET A GOOD JOB OR NOT! ..
IT WILL TAKE YEARS!! FOR PAKISTAN TO IMPROVE THIS WAY, BUT IF SINCERE PEOPLE COME IN THE ADMINISTRATION, (WHICH IS impossible IN PAKISTAN)..THEN THIS GOAL CAN BE ACHIEVED IN THE SHORT RUN!

Large number of scholarships have been awarded, for both inland and abroad higher studies programs. It is expected that thousands of PhDs will be pouring in with a bond to serve the country. I just want to know what planning HEC has done to provide job opportunities/securities to these people. As far as I know our industry does not require PhD’s because of practical reasons. We also do not have basic R&D infrastructure or funded projects where all of these doctorate degree holders could settle in. Neither we are establishing univesities which could accomodate even a couple of thousands of PhD’s.
How would HEC stop the brain drain 4 years down the line when these large number of doctors would not be having suitable jobs..??

HEC have done nothing at all except confusing all the people of Pakistan. Education is getting expensive everyday, i duno which Projects and Growth Mr.Rizwan(the above person) is talking about.
Sending students to countries which are still under development like pakistan, what can you expect from those graduates uh!! .. GoD knows! what will be future of Pakistan, because after doing BAchelors in IT (4yrs) in Pakistan, i prefer NOT TO STUDY further in Pakistan and move abroad for masters.
Studying here is lyk killing your own future with your own hands. We have seasonal Degrees here, few years back there was a Boom in the IT field n HEC received several thousand dollars from foriegn countries in the name of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, n later on MBA was more demanding and now TELECOMMUNICATIOn … uh!! C’mon.. are we playing games here!!!
YEAH! i guess HEC is playing with our lives, I tried to e-mail Dr. Atta several times, but this e-mail id chairman@hec.gov.tv. doesn’t work at all.. uh!! really hate this person n his policies.
HEC is increasing pays of Teachers huh! how strange is dat… Thy are offereing advance courses in all the Areas, but we dont have teachers who are actually qualified for teaching those subjects, SUCH A RIDICULOUS WAY OF PROMOTING THE EDUCATIOn!!! ..
Our Nation was sleeping from the day of independence n i guess that will be always like that. WE are the nation who have no Vision at all, Who have no idea about their own identity.

I can say alot on that,But i know that saying on Internet is just lyk wasting your time, because WE PEOPLE in PAK CAN JUST SAY THINGS, WE CAN SUGGEST, BUT WE DON”T HAVE COURAGE TO DO THINGS, GOD knows WHEN WE PEOPLE WILL DECIDE THAT WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHINg fOR THE NEXT GENERATIOn !!! I would like to appreciate the efforts and services of Dr. Sb. For this sleeping nation.he has addressed the foundation of progress and prosperity. It’s the key to success of nations.I wish for his long life and for everlasting life of the projects he has started.I just want to ask that what he has done for the continuities of these projects?
